Sucker punch is an action fantasy movie, released in 2011. Here Emily Browning stars as Baby Doll.

Its a sexy, kick ass role compared to her role in Sleeping beauty which was also released in 2011. However, I do admit that she looks very pretty in both movies. In sucker punch, Baby doll (Emily Browning) is sent to Lennox House for the mentally insane. Her step father bribes one of the orderlies to have Baby doll lobotomized so she will be unable to tell the police the real circumstances surrounding her younger sister’s death. Baby doll is informed by Blue Jones (Oscar Isaac) that her virginity will be sold to  a client called “the high roller” (Jon Hamm).

During her time in the asylum, Babydoll retreats into a fantasy world in which she is newly arrived in a brothel owned by Blue, whom she envisions as a mobster. She befriends four other dancers – Amber (Jamie Chung), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), Rocket (Jena Malone), and Rocket’s sister, Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish). Dr. Gorski is envisioned as the girls’ dance instructor. The movie gets edgy as the girls fight for freedom. At the end Baby doll makes the ultimate sacrifice which gives Sweet pea a real chance at a normal life.

As for Sleeping beauty took the words straight out from my mouth “Holy Hell! What did I just watch?!” says it all. Be the judge for yourself xx

As I sleep the sleep of the dead

As I sleep and remain alive like the undead

As I sleep in a realm of discomforting comfort

I wake feeling the pain of immortality

I wake to the blinding visions I sight

I wake looking ever alive but feeling dead in my soul

The breath of death shatters the serenity

The breath of life shatters the overwhelming clutch of darkness

I feel the hunger pangs of over feeding

I feel the guilty pleasure of people who have reaped where they did not sow

I feel a saddening joy from human suffering

I remain asleep

The sleep of the dead

As I dream the dreams of a nightmarish reality

I cannot care for worldly matters

Nor care for the suffering, the anguish or pain that cannot reach me

As I sleep the sleep of the dead.

Yesterday I watched the vampire diaries episode 20 and all I could think of was that the directors are ready to toy with VD fans emotions. After the scene between Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) most fans expected the passionate kiss they shared to be the final conclusion on who Elena should be with but, as always Elena remains confused. Urged by her best friend Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) to invite Stefan to the Dance, Elena asks her ex-boyfriend to be her date.

Episode 19, we saw the return of Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) and the return of Caroline’s boyfriend, Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino). Tyler finds out that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has a thing for his girlfriend and is not pleased about it. Caroline convinces him that “Klaus can dance with me a million times but, it’s you I love”. (So romantic *sniff* there may never be a Klaroline then or will there?) Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) has a date and tries to move on and forget Jeremy. However, this is not enough to keep her away from getting hurt. Esther on the other hand doesn’t just want to die and makes Bonnie complete what she started by turning Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) into a Vampiric Vampire hunter driven only by his blind hatred for the “blood suckers”.  With so many twists and turns to go before reaching the season finale, VD fans can only hope for the best……which is still unknown.
